Dear Team Member

The Winter League is now complete and I would like to thank you all for playing.

The matches were all very enjoyable, some very close and excellent sportsmanship demonstrated throughout. Pete Jennings won two matches, from the four he played. Paul Mortimore played for the club for the first time, winning a match for the third team and also playing well for the second team.

Full results and statistics can be seen at: http://lta.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/draw.aspx?id=C60D1E2C-4089-49E7-9E98-4D39ADD3FED8&draw=11

We look forward to the Summer League, which starts in May. I hope you will all play again for the team and will let you know when the fixtures are announced.

Best wishes

Mark Neves

Third Team Members,
Our latest match against Cleeve brought sun, challenging opposition, excellent facilities, good sportsmanship and four more points!  Paul Mortimore flew in from America to play for the team for the first time, playing some excellent tennis and winning the first team mixed match with Becci. Lindsay and Becci won the ladies doubles in a thrilling three setter. We only missed out on winning the fixture by one set. Cleeve provided excellent facilities, were good hosts and sportsman. Two more matches this year. Andy Alhadeff and Paul Mortimore have the honours for 14 November vs Coombe Dingle, Cleeve warned us about their "blonde bombshell". James Everest is on the team sheet for 28 November for a home match against Thornbury, but still one place to be filled. More matches in the new year.

Keep up the good play!
Mark
