Awards and Celebrations

Young members and their families enjoyed a great night at the annual Junior Awards Night. Top honours went to James Everest as Junior Member of the Year, with Gabriella Chaplin and Josh Moore taking the Junior and Mini Player of the Year awards. Presenting the prizes was Dot King who kindly donated the trophy for Junior Member of the Year in memory of her husband Francis, who was a member of the club for nearly 40 years

Other awards went to William Everest as Most Improved Mini Player of the Year with Jo Forbes and Tom Barrett taking the Mini and Junior Coaches Awards. Peter Macdonald received a Highly Commended certificate in the most improved mini player category.

Following the presentations Peejay’s Entertainments took over and entertain they certainly did! The event was advertised as a disco but it was so much more – games galore that kept even the most energetic busy. Parents were tempted into taking part and demonstrated where their children get their competitive natures and all the generations were seen on the dance floor. A night to remember for all those there.
